Maverick Grill has been a go-to spot for me for several years, especially for their fried catfish basket, which is consistently delicious. The fish is always fresh and perfectly cooked, just the way I like it. I’ll admit, I was a little concerned when I heard they were under new ownership and management last month. Change can be hit or miss, but after several recent visits, I’m happy to say my worries were completely misplaced. If anything, Maverick Grill has only improved! The food and service remain top-notch, and it’s still the great place I’ve always counted on. If you’re a fan of great catfish or just looking for a solid meal, I highly recommend giving Maverick a try!

Every time I roll thru the area, I always stop here, and I get the same thing every time; the Boone and Crockett Burger. Yes, it's pricy. Yes, it's big. Yes, it's delicious. Definitely worth it in my book. Maybe one of these times, I'll try something else on the menu...

Delicious burger with real meat (not a hockey puck), soft fresh bun, and quality vegetables. Stopped on a Sat around noon. They were very busy but still had our food ready fast. Pleasant surprise for a corner diner on a road trip!!
